SANCTUARY
I, SHIRYU, CHOSEN BY THE DRAGON CLOTH SHALL CHALLENGE YOU! (Age 14-16)
This verse will follow the original canon for Saint Seiya. In this verse, Shiryu is between the ages of 14-16 which stretches through to the end of the Poseidon arc. With the Sanctuary in sights and the threat harboring within the halls, can the saints of Athena battle everything that comes their way & protect their goddess?

THE BLIND CAN STILL SEE
THOSE WHO ARE BLIND CAN STILL SEE THE WORLD (Can vary but usually 15-16/18+)
This verse can also parallel the original canon verse but can also diverge into any other verse as well. After the run in with Argol & sacrificing his sight in order to save his fellow comrades, Shiryu’s sight is irreversible. Although he has done extensive training and honing of skills in order to persevere & triumph over his blindness, he is forever stuck with the disability. It does not slow him, but it does fill him with a sense of dread & forlorn; as if he is nothing but dead weight to those around him. From these feelings & the stress that comes with being a saint of Athena, Shiryu suffers from PTSD.
WHAT TRULY IS NORMAL?
DOES THIS MEAN WE DON’T HAVE TO FIGHT ANYMORE? (Age: 18+)
This verse is a complete divergent from the original canon. In this verse, Shiryu, while still being a saint of athena, is 18+ & is currently in college studying to obtain a degree is psychology. He bares the same personality as he does in his other verses but in this verse, he has social anxiety & finds himself incapable of being around large groups of people for an elongated period of time. He’s reserved & quiet; he speaks his mind which gets him into more trouble with people than it is worth. He has been told he is either rude with his opinions or robotic with his feelings which causes him to be alone most of the time. Although he does feel lonely, he tells himself that he prefers it this way. Only those very close to him (the original bronze saints) knows that he is not what others dub him to be & for him, that’s all he needs (or so he tells himself).

Self explanatory.
THE WESTERN DRAGON
BEWARE THE DRAGON UPON THE MOUNTAIN(INUYASHA VERSE) (Age: Centuries/Looks 20)
Born a mortal and of commoner upbringing, Shiryu, along with his twin Rei lived a quiet life within feudal japan, amidst the pilgrimage of demons both infesting where they live and journeying from beyond the sea. Being the elder of the two (by only a few short minutes), Shiryu has made it his duty to protect his sister from any and every being that (be it mortal or demon) that attempted to take her from him. What seemed frivolous had soon became doable due to the infestation of a dragon soul. God-kin beings whom have said to be extinct within folklores are also said to embody themselves within those whom they feel would do well to keep them alive. One in particular took refuge in Shiryu’s body in order to escape its own mortality with the promise to grant the human the necessary abilities and strengths to protect his sister at all costs.
But, with such a deal struck, all that came with it was not that of splendor. The ability to become the beast has made Shiryu quite the target for many would love the title DRAGON SLAYER. Although not much has changed about him physically, emotionally Shiryu had gone through a tremendous change. There will be times where his personality warps itself; he becomes loathsome and cruel to others who are not his sister. He has become greedy as well; a sin that has the potential to kill him. But, unlike others, Shiryu’s prefer treasure of choice is knowledge. He keeps no books or scrolls. He instead, takes the time to read anything and everything he finds, converting it to memory and effectively torching the literature he got it from, effectively becoming the living lore he stole from and thus, becoming his own horde. Periodically, Shiryu is away from his sister and her court for unlike her, he did not seek nobility. On many occasions he can be found, in the form of an elongated, monstrous serpent, snoring away upon one of the highest mountain peaks in Japan.
Shiryu possess immense physical strength and durability. Given that his dragon spirit’s element is water, he is able to summon rain, tsunamis and typhoons; there has been talk that he has the ability to make the ground shake with his impending arrival out of anger and is able to split the sea apart as he ascends with great speed–rumors that are unable to be confirmed. He is muscular and rather tall, standing at about 6'4’’ and undeniably handsome but bothers not to dive into the realm of vanity. Unlike his sister, who can be aggressive while craving the love of all who she commands within her court, Shiryu is aloof and cares very little for the opinions of others. He has heard and experienced the fear to which his sister’s people have for him and that has added to his dislike of humanity as a whole.
Another perk of the dragon that resides within, Shiryu is a plethora of ample amounts of knowledge. He knows vast amounts of lore, languages and stories. There is talk among scholars that know of the dragon upon the mountain that upon slaying him and absorbing his soul, the person will come to harness all the knowledge he has obtained over the centuries. It is unknown just how old Shiryu truly is but, his thirst for knowledge stretches far and wide and calls to all, both human and demon whom are greedy enough to attempt a slaying. The remnants of those who have fallen litter his cave as a means to deter others.
Shiryu takes on three forms. His original human form that doesn’t age, his dragon form and a hybrid of the two. The human form is by far, the weakest of the three with the dragon being the strongest. However, when he feels no need or finds himself slightly threatened, Shiryu will instead manifest the dragon upon his body in the form of armor in order to do combat, His power is not at its peak in this but he is far more durable and more prepared for combat; able to access most of his power with the armor on in order to defend himself and affect the weather as he sees fit. Some say that in his armor, if you look closely, above him standing fall are the eyes of a dragon, manifesting from the armor, signifying that the armor is not only alive but an extension of him as a whole.
