Be not afraid of growing slowly be afraid only of standing still.
He was rather speechless to hear more did truly come back. All in good health according by what they knew for now. Shura supposed he felt relieved. His chest’s knot eased, tension from his shoulders rose as he finally felt the breath to breathe with. Really from after this death and in between resurrections, Shura hadn’t realized what little time he had to breathe. Too much happened at once and he had to act accordingly, numbing any senses that yearned for a pause and rest.
“I’m pleased to hear those we know of are in good health…as for the others, I trust they’re fine too.” It felt like since forever he could relax and utter that word ‘Fine’.
A second chance then… …Shura felt he had much more to atone for. Albeit the chance seemed to be misplaced, the Capricorn Saint felt it wise to not let it go to waste.
His mind further cleared at the aroma of fresh tea, waking his attention no longer being lost in thoughts. Shura tilted his head, listening to Shiryu attentively.
On his lips blossomed a simpler, eased smile, “There is no need to ask for forgiveness; be it my presence were unwelcomed, your behavior is understandable— But this is your charm, Shiryu. Benevolent and forgiving despite my former lack of trust in Athena though that is not to be taken lightly, I believe…and I see. I cannot say I don’t agree with you. Tranquility is a luxury for us warriors; cherish it well for I’m sure you deserve it.”

❛ We ALL deserve it, Shura-san. None of us are EXEMPT from happiness, no matter our crimes. You have repented for yours & with that I am AT EASE. ❜
Although the younger saint DETESTED the taste of tea, he was willing to bite his tongue & consume the bitter liquid in order to CENTER HIS MIND. He did find it to be a soothing beverage (why did it have to be so BITTER though?) & thus, taking it in hand & taking a sip was an easy task.
He just hoped his face didn’t REFLECT his disdain for the concoction. But, now came back to the matter at hand. The gold saints had RETURNED & had taken to either returning to their temples or other places. Did those who did not return to their temples RELINQUISH their cloths & thus denounced their responsibilities? He knew Dohko & Mu still retained their standing; he was sure that Aiolia would remain a saint as well. He knew not of Camus–might be a question to POSE to Hyoga once another letter comes to him.
❛ But, I cannot help but find myself WONDERING… ❜ Shiryu gripped his cup a bit. ❛ What is the next step? You were all given SECOND CHANCES. Are you to return to your respected temples & if that be the case, then what? What INSTRUCTIONS are you to wait for? So long as we have our OBLIGATIONS to that of Athena, we are not free men. ❜
Shura knew, just as well as he did, that their lives aren’t their own. As soon as they were given their RESPECTED CLOTHS, they were no longer free men. They were obligated to ATHENA & whether they liked it or not, they were BOUND TO THEIR OATH. What good is a life if you’ve already signed it away? Did he REGRET his decision to become a saint? No! Never! But, such thoughts always came when they were given a chance to BREATHE EASY.
Shiryu bowed his head once he discovered the WEIGHT behind his statement. ❛ Forgive me, Shura-san. I did not mean for that to sound as DISRESPECTFUL as it did. ❜
