This is an independent & selective roleplay blog for DRAGON NO SHIRYU of Masami Kurumada's SAINT SEIYA. Heavily Headcanon & Anime-based with mild manga influences.
Established 2015 & Penned by Brooklyn.
Be not afraid of growing slowly be afraid only of standing still.
To Helen, Shiryu was more than some blind person—yes, she had
come to him on the pretenses that he was Seiya’s friend and, therefore,
immediately in her good graces. But him being sightless had nothing to do with her kindness.
Her friendship was not the product of pity—surely a nurse
knew better than to treat someone in such a way, given the amount of people
that came into her care with disabilities. Her friendship was not so cheap; it was genuine.
Seeing his smile was like being blessed, and Helen’s would
brighten in turn. She would like to see him smile more often.
“What do you like to eat, Shiryu?”

All he could ask for was KINDNESS, NOT PITY. For pity was given by those who felt bad. Pity was given by those who wished they could UNDERSTAND. Pity was given by those who FELT HORRIBLE about his disposition. Shiryu didn’t need to feel even more USELESS than he already did & the pity from others did not help his predicament.
All he could hope for was a CURE (a pipedream). He was to leave for China soon to visit his master in the HOPES that he had something for this condition. ANYTHING at this point! With the battle for sanctuary drawing CLOSER & CLOSER, the more time he spent idle was more time WASTED. The kindness from Helen was never to be taken from granted but it did not SETTLE his silent nerves.
