Be not afraid of growing slowly be afraid only of standing still.
Albafica saw so many emotions in his eyes: love, concern, passion, adoration… Like an beautiful mirror of the world he never knew. He looked at him as if he was the only person on earth, as if there was nothing else in their private universe but the two of them. A universe that shouldn’t be. The fate decided only to play with them.
He took his hand and stood up, trying not to stare for too long at him, as if he was the sun, yet he saw him, like the sun, even without looking. It were not his features, his body that resembled the warm light of the sun, it was Shiryu’s heart. How could he not fall for him? The one who offered him what he was wishing for so long. He loved him so much.
Shiryu’s words were poetic. The short response, a soft whisper, everything he spoke was poetic. A perfect harmony of voice and words. The voice he heard inside his head when everything was quiet, the missing piece he needed, he had finally found it. And he had to let it go someday. His voice, his gentle smile, his kindness would always be a part of his heart… Albafica never wanted to miss him.
“Would you prefer a warm soup? Tea doesn’t suit you.”
It took some time for the Pisces Saint to figure out that Shiryu wasn’t one who enjoyed tea as much as others, but he knew and would not force it onto him. Even if he had not as many possibilities as in Shiryu’s time, he would still offer him as much as possible.
His smile came back to his features, carefully leaning in. “I am sure the stars already wait to hear your wish.”

❛ PERCEPTIVE you are, Alba-kun. Again I am slightly embarrassed. You knew all this time, didn’t you. ❜
There was a bit of a TEASING TONE in his voice when he spoke to the other. Its true, Shiryu was not a big tea drinker. Training with Dohko for SIX YEARS of his life, he had grown accustomed to drinking the bitter liquid. He did it for his body, the ANTIOXIDANTS within were vital to keeping his body in shape & although he still retained FREEWILL, Shiryu always had a cup of tea–no matter how DISGUSTING he figured it to be.
The offer of soup compared to tea was DIVINE.ANYTHING given to him that wasn’t tea was truly divine & if he wished to offer such a thing to him, Shiryu would not turn his nose up to the gesture. He hadn’t CONSUMED anything since he woke up this morning; his body was due to eat something in order to sustain it. Just because he wasn’t fighting NOW did not mean he was to STRAY AWAY from his practices & everyday life.
Their distance apart grew SHORTER & words that came from Albafica’s lips caused what little color that had ALREADY stained his face to darken a shade. What uncouth behavior on his behalf but to DISMISS feelings at this point also seemed wrong. His feelings should have been PUT TO THE SIDE way before they came to be like this. What happened? Just what truly happened? If asked, Shiryu could probably not find the words to describe why he ALLOWED such a thing to transpire. But, he wanted this–let him have this! Even if it's for a little while. He smiled while his face kept its stain of RED.
❛ I hope they are just as eager to GRANT it as much as they are eager to HEAR it. If not, there is always tomorrow. ❜
