This is an independent & selective roleplay blog for DRAGON NO SHIRYU of Masami Kurumada's SAINT SEIYA. Heavily Headcanon & Anime-based with mild manga influences.
Established 2015 & Penned by Brooklyn.
Be not afraid of growing slowly be afraid only of standing still.
I run it very moderately. I want to say slow but I can get replies out when you least expect it, mainly when the mood strikes me—to which, for shiryu, is nearly all the time. He is the most active muse I’ve had in such a long time and no matter how long I’ve been away, I can always find his voice so I am always here, and looking to reply or start something, no matter how small.
REPLIES.
It varies depending on how I can convey Shiryu’s thoughts, emotions, and everything else. Sometimes I can do it in a few words, sometimes it’ll take me ten pages but, I strive to not make it boring. I like to start small and build from there; I feel it makes things more organic because then you can build the scene and the world around the starting point.
STARTERS.
If you just wanna throw yourselves and your muse at shiryu, PLEASE DO. I am so shit at starters and I cannot explain it. But man, if you just have a thought and you wanna put him in it, come @ me. I’m here for it.
INBOX.
They are always open! I love answering things for shiryu either as him or myself, especially anons when they ask him the weirdest things and he has to somehow not put his head in an oven. Those are the best.
SELECTIVITY.
I am semi-selective. I only rp with mutuals but you can still send things into Shiryu and he’ll answer them via inbox, like questions and whatnot. It just takes me a bit for me to follow back on people. I also like to let people know that my Shiryu does have verses where he is underneath the age of 18 and he has verses where he is above the age of 18. And I will say this now and I will never say it again because honestly, I’m old, I’m tired and I shouldn’t have to: I am NOT aging up my character for sexual purposes. In fact, that is scarce on my blog. Shiryu in different verses are different ages for 1-for my comfort, 2-it allows for growth and development because how else is a character supposed to do so if they just stay in the box of one age and 3-because he does CANONICALLY AGE IN THE SERIES. There might be ships on this blog. There might be NSFW on this blog and that is MORE THAN JUST SEX (please understand that there is more to NSFW than just sex) and I am well within my right to write this and put Shiryu in these situations. But please know that he will be the age suitable for whatever happens to him. If that is not your jam, I understand that. No hard feelings!
WISHLIST.
Anything honestly: Fights, AUs, Ships, Angst—JUST GIVE ME EVERYTHING, I AM GREEDY! Oh, and if you are a child muse, Shiryu will officially adopt you. He is dragon mom, of course.
HONEST NOTE.
\o hello there!

After hearing the boy’s reason for rushing through SACRED GROUND, Kanon couldn’t help but throw a light expression of disappointment in the child’s direction.
So… It was a race among the bronze brats through the temples? He should be offended by the boy’s audacity–however he can’t say that he hasn’t done something similar with Saga when they were children. It used to drive the Hoy Master insane. But those omitted memories aside, as a Gold Saint, he couldn’t allow such behavior to continue.
An idea sparked in his mind about when should this boy cross the Gemini Temple. Yes, of course. He could activate the Labyrinth of the Twinsfrom even the Papal Chambers; with such an intimate connection with the palace, Kanon didn’t need to expand his Cosmo from this far away (they weren’t even at the stairway leading to the House of Aries).
❝ Humph. Very well. ❞
Kanon feigned disinterest for the folly of children, laying the act on thick by turning his eyes away from the Dragon Saint to stare laxly into the distance. However, if one should look closely, the slight crease at the corner of the Gemini’s eyes showed the mischievous that stalked within his mind–like a knavish fox waiting for the pray to unknowingly trot into his prank.
He was the younger brother of the Gemini Saints, after all. He’d be an exact copy of Saga if he completely abolished his troublemaking desires–and being the ‘replacement’ of his brother was never a part of his nature.
❝ Don’t let me get in your way. ❞
Maybe if the kid asked for PERMISSION to pass Gemini Temple, he would be inclined to let the boy go through without being trapped… Maybe.
Maybe it was NAIVE of him to say such a thing so openly however, if there was something wrong in what they were doing, Shiryu would haved been the first to be told in order to relay the message. They were not children anymore–they were never really CHILDRENto begin with ( WE’LL NEVER BE THOSE KIDS AGAIN… ). Maybe this is what he should’ve picked up on–the DISDAIN for the child-like antics.
Surely anyone else in their respected temples would’ve said something for it was not HEwho suggested the sprint in the first place nor did he seem to stop the one who did. Was that the transgression? Who knows. But unlike his GUILT-FREE comrade, Shiryu stilled himself, brows narrowing some at the older saint. Why not leave? Why—he was given the OK to go was he not? Logic told his mind & body to go; that there was no immediate threat here ( Kanon knew better this time around–bronze did not mean feebile ) but instinct said HALT.
It was not hard to piece together just WHAT the keeper of the gemini temple was after–for anybody else respectfully. Oh, If only that was the first actual thought to pop in his head. ❛ I’m sorry but, have I DISRESPECTED you in some way? ❜ tone of voice went from light & friend to hold a slightly more guarded roughness to it. Picking a fight? GODS NO. Do not mistake his guard for confrontation. It was not that long ago when both saints stood on the opposing ends of one another, ready to ANNIHILATE each other for their own purposes. It felt like a world ago; time told different.
Shiryu attempted to remove the tone from his voice. There was no need for a fight on SACRED GROUND. Although the SANCTUARY is meant for those to train & be better, it is just for that—to be better. Not to settle any ARBITRARY score.
I may not be the kind of RPer that does all my drafts everyday, but I do often check my inbox/messages.
So if your muse misses mine, don’t be afraid to show up with a random text message or mini-para or sentence or question or whatever. I promise I won’t get mad at you.
This also goes for anyone who wants to interact with my muse. Just throw something random in my inbox. Even if I don’t answer it for some reason, I’ll probably message you back.
“Oi, you don’t happened to know a place around ‘ere that I can get booze, do ya?” A typical way for him to pass time, even if he was lost, the swordsman held a rather bored expression on ones face. “Kinda parch, if ya know what I mean. It’s been almost three days since I’ve tried to find a damn port around here, folks been giving me wrong directions.”
A quick run down the mountain usually didn’t take him too long. Picking up prime PROVISIONS for dinner was ideal & this provience, at this time of the year, yielded plentiful crops. His bags were filled with fresh produce & he seemed bothered NONE with how he managed to SLIP & SLIDE through the traffic. In fact, he was about to do the same thing until the gentleman managed to see him & thus, address him. Shiryu came to a halt—huh. Usually, he could WEAVE without being seen no problem & yet, not with him. Not many were preceptive, especially to the movement of a SAINT.
❛ Wait– ❜ He started, brows furrowing as his bang somewhat covered his features but not enough to make him blind to the other. ❛ Are you looking for a bar or the dock? You said port but mentioned liquor—they’re not at the same place. ❜
He spotted the Dragon Bronze Saint long before he allowed himself to be seen. As the former Sea Dragon general of Poseidon, he had developed the ability that allowed him to become invisible to unsuspecting eyes. A simple trick of the tiny bits of water molecules that remained in the air like dying flies.
When the boy came closer, Kanon relaxed his Cosmo, allowing the thin veil of invisibly to fall away. The Gemini sat upon a tall rock, his elbow propped against his bent knee and his chin resting on his knuckles.
❝ Dragon. ❞
Kanon spoke with mild disinterest, but the glimmer in his grave, blue eyes suspected more. Dragon Shiryu was one of the Phoenix’s companions, and seeing him run off on his own alluded todanger.
❝ Where are you heading off to so quickly? ❞
SANCTUARY was the home of those who pledged their lives to & for ATHENA, no questions asked. It was home for some, training grounds for others & a place where many come to see those who protect their goddess as she stayed there. It was almost akin to a PILGRIMAGE for some of them. He didn’t think so much of it. From time to time he’d visit when Seiya requested they meet up (he makes it seem as though they go EONS without contact–he possessed a phone that he answers…on occassion).
Feet picked up in pace, almost breaking out into a brisk sprint but there was very little effort in his stride. This was a dumb competion–NONE OF THEM COULD BEAT SEIYA ON FOOT. Without the added weight of their cloths on their backs, Shiryu could keep pace but—that also meant the pegasus saint was LIGHTER on his feet as well–it bothered him not, the price for losing the game was not steep–Shiryu was not NAIVE enough to agree to unfathomable terms.
His stride came to an almost sudden full stop. The presence wasn’t enough to alert him of something nerfarious; of course there are other SAINTS here, that wasn’t unheard of. It was the VOICE that caught his attention & brought the dragon saint to a standstill. Shiryu held no rigidity in his form. It would not be wise for Kanon to cause an issue here, on sacred ground. Could he beat him on his own? Unlikely but a fight would be met.
❛ Ah–Leo’s temple. He replied. I agreed to a race with Pegasus but, I know a fool’s folly when I see one. ❜
